I was bothered at the Sun failing to cover the IPCC report. Then the other night I asked some car buyers, within the Sun’s demographic, about driving issues. No surprise that congestion was number one, but emmisions came second. But not a single one gave a fig about global warming – what mattered was ‘unfair taxes’. No wonder.

Reminds me about the dangers of assuming everyone thinks like you, and how difficult our environmental problems really are.

It’s depressing isn’t it. The car brings out the most selfish aspects of human nature. Congestion? That’s other peoples fault. Emissions? I can only see the car in front. Global warming? It’s a con job….completely apathetic.
A necessity for many journeys I understand, but nevertheless, a necessary evil; not a human right.

Its not the fact they dont want to do anything about it that is most worrying, its that they dont even care about it at all.
As much as I hate to generalise people, the Sun (and many of its readers)make me sick.
