Thanks to Scamp, I’ve found David Bonney’s blog. Thanks to David, my group got first prize at the APG Training Network back in the day. Now, with a rigour that could settle the argument about blogging being bad for planning , he’s posting all sorts of meaty stuff about the power of negative emotion in advertising. Good to find out what he’s been up to since last we spoke too.

Andrew (whoops, is your real name a mystery to your readers?),
Thanks you for your post but I must protest as a fair share of the responsibility for us winning that APG malarkey rests with you.
You’ve a great blog, and glad to see you engaging with the “flow” stuff… it’s a really intersting area and i don’t think advertising has figured out yet how to take advantage of flow. I once tried to incorporate flow into an xbox strategy but the Americans weren’t playing ball.
Anyway, here’s to more psychology, more rigour and more beating down clients with superior knowledge.LikeLike

My real name is no secret and I agree that no one’s used ‘flow’ thinking properly yet.
I thought I saw you at the John Steel thing, but got all shy at the clever attractive people around you.
Glad you’re wellLikeLike

Yep I was at the John Steel thing, you should have bellowed as we all went got drunk after… including Faris who you might know from the blogosphere.
Never mind, next time you’re in town give me a shout and we’ll have a pint.LikeLike
