Terminator

I’m going away for awhile. Nothing  major, it’s just time for a blogging holiday. We’re away over Easter anyway, I’ve got tons to do but it’s more than that.

This blog is nearly a year old, and it’s very different to how it started. Some of that is good –  it’s less naive, it doesn’t recycle other planner’s work as much- some not so good. Maybe it’s a bit too full of itself, maybe I’m just plain bad at writing (spelling and grammar for sure), maybe it’s too much about me, and not enough about what I’m interested in (maybe I should navel gaze less). But when I’m enjoying reading other people’s stuff far more than writing my own, it’s time to back off for a while. Sorry if it sounds self important (too much of what I write does that already), it’s not meant to, just honest I hope.

So I won’t be posting until after Easter. I’ll still be lurking on other people’s blogs though, commenting more too. See you soon.

This worries me. But holiday are always good. So well done.
I like your blog. Like the stuff you write. I like the way you write it too.
I like your lost keys, your stiff neck and your traffic reports.
You will be missed, by me, untill you come back.

NP … I appreciate you want a holiday from blogsville [god there are days when I have no idea what to write and yet feel a self-imposed need to do so. drives me mad!] but please know its great because you are a top, insightful, guy who has a wonderful view on life and coms.
Come back soon because I like – and want – to hear more about you [you don’t actually say that much] … yours plans, goals, fears.
You might not want to tell us, but we come here because of you – don’t forget that!
Have a great Easter and this year, I’d love to be able to finally shake your hand.

I can certainly understand the need to have a break. But it’d be a shame if you went away forever. Hope to see you after Easter.

Navel-gazing isn’t a crime – if it were I’d have been locked away long ago!
Enjoy your break but don’t leave it too long before coming back.

Oh God! I hope no one took this as an experiment in feeling wanted. But I can’t help but feel happy. Thanks everyone for your kind words.
See you soon. Time for a cuppa.

I totally understand the need for a break. I blogged for over a year and it was definitely becoming an obsession and addiction.
You know the fine art of keeping it interesting without railing at the moon.
Maybe we should have a group planning blog – would it need an editor? someone to read and vet before posting? It seems like that’s the next step. I would certainly join you in that kind of endeavour. I could delete the old planningblog posts and we could start afresh – at planningblog.com? Give it a think and let me know when you get back.
Sorry I missed you in London. c u next time?

At least you’ve got the decency to say you’re going to stop blogging for a while. (unlike some agency blogs which just stop for no reason, ahem…) Enjoy the break. eat chocolate, drink tea, be merry.

Hear hear on the group planning blog thought.
I find this little circle of blogs amongst the most interesting things on the web, and anything that increases cross-talk and critical interchange between them is an excellent idea.
