Whitby, Singapore and Freddie

So I was working in Singapore last week. Quite a change from the week in Whitby that preceeded it.

Anyway, very impressed with the tea in Heathrow.

I got lots done, but still managed to get a couple of beers with Freddie.

Two beers wasn't nearly enough time, Fred was great company. Amidst discussing fatherhood (including one of my first public pronouncements that we're expecting another child – me and Mrs Northern I mean, not Freddie and I), what it's like to work for Nigel Bogle and the joys of TBWA, Fred was really nice about me getting totally and having to come get me.

A pleasure.

Being a foodie, I took full advantage of the cuisine.

But after all that, I couldn't wait to get home to a proper cup of tea, my long suffering wife and my slightly deranged little boy.

    That was very subtle. Very, very subtle. Congratulations on the exciting news 🙂
    Loved your photo of the tea pot, it looked as though you had brought it from home in a special case just to have a proper cup of tea in the airport!

    Congratulations again NP and Mrs.NP!
    It was great to meet you and I agree: two beers wasn’t nearly enough time.
    As I mentioned to you, it’s a bit strange meeting someone for the first time in real life and somehow feel that you already know that person. You were almost identical (in real life) to the mental image I had of you…in every conceivable way.
    Hope to have the chance to see you again in the near future, hopefully with the benefit of more time and some delicious food as well.

    Can’t work out if that’s a good thing or very, very bad.
    It is wierd how people are how they blog – which is another reason not to meet Andy just in case he IS like that
